Your attachment pattern shapes far more than your love life. It sets the baseline for how peaceful your life feels, moment to moment.
Attachment has become a buzzword. Beyond the pop-culture version sits one of the most substantial bodies of research in psychology, and it says something worth hearing: the way you love, work, and reach for what you want was patterned before you could talk.
You might already know your pattern:
Can't focus on anything until the text comes back. Over-giving, at work and in love, to make sure nothing bad happens. Replaying that thing you said and beating yourself up about it.
Telling yourself "I'm just not a relationship person." The knee-jerk urge to leave when it gets a little tough. Nobody ever seems quite good enough. Shutting down in conflict.
Craving closeness and bracing against it at the same time. Hot and cold, sometimes within the same hour. Connection itself can feel unsafe.
Instagram told you which one you are. It didn't tell you where it came from, or what to do about it.
Your pattern was wired in thousands of small moments between you and the people who raised you, before memory, before words, wired into the body. And it doesn't stay in your love life. It shapes your relationship to life itself: how you handle conflict, how you work, whether you feel safe enough to take real risks on the life you actually want.
Here's the hopeful part, and the reason this workshop exists: the research is clear that secure attachment can be earned at any age, no matter how challenging your start was. Researchers even have a name for people who grew up without it and built it later: earned secure. In relationships, earned security functions just like the kind that comes from an ideal childhood.
You can't change what happened. You can change what got wired.
And what does secure actually feel like? A late reply is just a late reply. You say the hard thing without rehearsing it for three days. You stay when it's tough, you leave when it's right, and you can tell the difference. Conflict stops being a threat and starts being information. That's the destination. This workshop is a first, real step.
In one workshop you'll learn:
You'll walk out with your own map of where your pattern comes from and where to go from here.
First, the map: how insecurities form, what each pattern looks like in real life, and what each pattern really needs.
Second, the five things every child needs to feel in order to develop secure attachment:
Then, the repair. Gentle guided sessions where you experience the repair process in real time. Eyes closed, no partner work, no sharing required, drawn from a respected and research-backed attachment-repair method. You'll leave having done the work, not just heard about it.
"gentle, yet incisive... a guided journey into your own heart and mind."
I won't tell you that one workshop resolves what took years to wire. It doesn't. What it does is show you the door, and walk you through it once.
I came to this work the honest way. After years of deep inner work, I found myself heartbroken at the end of a relationship, and I saw that the deepest pattern underneath it all was still running. So I committed to going all the way in: to understand attachment at the root and work my own insecure edges, so that a lasting, beautiful love would actually have somewhere to land. That work changed my relationships, my career, and how I lead.
I'm Jason Hernstad. I've trained in many approaches over the years, including six years with the Luminous Awareness Institute, formal practice in the Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and Integrative Attachment Therapy, a clinically researched method of repair and the method this workshop draws from. For years I've guided this work with founders, doctors, and leaders. It's the material I most love to teach, because it's the material that gave me my life back.
I'm excited and honored to share this journey of becoming secure with you.
"The other end of that hard work... has made the rest of life, business, relationships far more clear and actually easier."
